Stored for the amendments to your life
Like time has turned time's tables
Leaving a sparkling bargain brings fortune
Like forging your survival
Your fate created clean
But I will deny your myth's testimony
Survival I thought mine
That memories within, never again would call
And never would I fall for the lines
Leading my destruction until now
And are still to come
I swear I'd seen your god somewhere
Where will we kneel when we have only tarnished idols?
For fortune offered only once is not know for sure
And I will forgive 'til my deathbed as long as I am able
To forget the life of past time and again
The shadows of your inspiration friend
I never will forget you, but I can try
My only defense left
These haunts by you before
And are still to come

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
